Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone have just released their mid-season Reload for Season 3, which adds two new multiplayer modes, two core 6v6 maps, a new Zombies mission, and more. When Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 launched in 2023, it was considered to have one of the best multiplayer suites in recent years with its remade Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009) maps. In the months since, sentiment surrounding the game has grown more positive, as even Sledgehammer Games’ original map additions have been mostly well received.

Season 3 of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone already introduced a lot of new content when it went live earlier in April. Call of Duty Multiplayer fans were treated to three new 6v6 maps in 6 Star, Tanked, and Emergency. Accompanying these map additions was the return of the popular Capture the Flag and One in the Chamber game modes. The long-awaited return of Rebirth Island had Warzone fans abuzz as well.

Now, Call of Duty has unveiled everything coming to Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone as part of Season 3 Reloaded, which has just recently gone live. Grime is a medium-sized 6v6 map that pits players against each other in a graffiti-covered London dock area. The second 6v6 multiplayer map coming to Modern Warfare 3 is a repurposed slice of Rebirth Island, named Checkpoint, which takes place in Rebirth’s eastern Stronghold point of interest.

Minefield mode adds an explosive splash to some of Modern Warfare 3‘s already existing game modes. Players who are eliminated spawn a Proximity Mine on their corpse that only triggers when stepped on by teammates. The mode is sure to be a blast on some of the game’s smaller maps, like Shipment, Stash House, and Meat. Joining Minefield is Escort, a payload-like mode where the attacking team pushes a MAW device forward by standing near it. The goal for attackers is to push the MAW to three hack points as the defending team tries to stop it. Each team will have the opportunity to attack and defend over two different rounds.

After being left out of Season 3’s initial launch, Zombies fans are finally getting some new content in the form of a new story mission, the new Rainmaker Warlord, and two new schematics: Dead Wire Detonators and recharging Golden Mask Filters. As far as new operator packs go, NBA superstar Devin Booker will be headlining in the D Book Was Here Tracer Pack, which also includes a “Sunrise” MTZ-762 Battle Rifle and “Sunset” WSP-9 SMG weapon blueprints.

Now that Season 3 is halfway through, Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone fans may expect to learn details of Season 4 at some point later on in May. Beyond that, Xbox has recently revealed the date and time of its June showcase, which will include what many believe is a follow-up Direct revealing Treyarch’s next Call of Duty title, which is assumed to be Black Ops 6.
